FAQ
The questions parents usually ask.
If you don't see your question here, just message me.
Do you speak English?
Enough to communicate clearly with parents and children. I've worked with
families from the US, Australia, France, and the UK since 2018, so day-to-day
conversation, schedules, and instructions work well. If you'd like your
kids to pick up some Vietnamese too, I'm happy to teach them.
Are you actually trained, or just a friendly neighbour?
Both, hopefully. I'm CPR-certified, I have 7+ years of repeat work with
foreign families in Hoi An, and I'm a mom of two boys myself. References
available on request — I can put you in touch with families I've worked
with.
How reliable are you for evening or last-minute bookings?
I take punctuality seriously. If I confirm a booking, I'll be there.
For evening and overnight care,
a day or two of notice is best, but I'll always try if it's
last-minute.
Same-day requests — just message me and I'll tell you straight away whether I can do it.
What ages do you work with?
All ages, including
newborns.
I'm comfortable with infants and happy to support parents in the
early weeks — feeding, naps, soothing. For older kids I do
reading, drawing, music, cooking, beach trips, and quiet play.
How much do you charge?
150,000 VND / hour as a flat rate — not per child. All ages, including newborns.
See the full pricing page
for what's included and how overnight, travel, and Tet are handled.
No deposit, cash at the end of the session.
Will you travel outside Hoi An?
Yes — Da Nang and further with travel covered. Tell me where and when
and I'll quote.
Do you also help with cooking, cleaning, or laundry?
Yes. A lot of families ask for help around the house in addition to
childcare — cooking family meals, tidy-ups, and the never-ending
laundry. Just tell me what would actually help.
How do I book?
Message me on Facebook Messenger.
Tell me your dates, the ages of the kids, and what you'd like help with.
I'll confirm availability and we'll agree on hours and rate.
