Resort & villa nights
A resort or villa babysitter in Hoi An, booked, not "if available."
Most Hoi An resorts treat babysitting as a favour their staff might do after a shift. I'm the one you book in advance, by name.
What your resort actually promised you
This is the opening line of a five-star Hoi An resort's own babysitting page:
"This service is provided based on the availability of our employees in their free time and thus cannot be guaranteed until an employee has confirmed."
That's the standard. Search for a resort or villa babysitter in Hoi An and almost every concierge hands you the same sentence. Front-desk staff aren't trained childcare; they're someone's cousin who finished housekeeping at 4pm and might be free at 7pm.
I'm Trang. CPR-certified, mum of two, working with expat and visiting families across Hoi An and Da Nang. You message me, I confirm, or I tell you straight away that I'm booked. No "we'll let you know on the day."
My calendar fills up fast November through February. The sooner I know your dates, the sooner you have a real answer.
How I book a villa or resort night
Most families message me three to seven days before they want me. Same-day sometimes works; if I'm free, I'll say yes. For a particular Saturday in high season, treat it like the restaurant booking: do it before you fly.
Once we agree on the evening, you send the resort name or villa address, the hours, and the ages of your kids. I arrive ten minutes early, meet you in the lobby or at the gate, and you head out. One name, one phone, one person.
For same-day bookings, see how last-minute babysitting in Hoi An works. The rest of what to expect on the night is in the FAQ.
What I get booked for
A few of the evenings I'm asked about most often by holiday families staying in Hoi An resorts and villas:
- Parents' dinner in the Old Town. Mango Mango, La Plage, the wine bars on Nguyen Thai Hoc. Kids stay in pyjamas at the resort with me, you eat without watching the clock.
- Spa afternoon at the resort. Most resort kids' clubs don't take under-3s, and a couple's massage doesn't pair with a toddler. I cover the gap so you both go.
- Beach evening at An Bang or Cua Dai. Sunset drinks, sand under your feet, kids winding down in the room. If the evening runs late, I also do overnight nanny stays in Hoi An by arrangement.
- The second week of a long retreat. Grandparents have flown home, the kids are happy at the villa, and you finally want one quiet night out. This is the most common booking I get from families on a two-week Hoi An holiday.
What I cost vs. what the resort charges
Pricing is where most parents make their decision, so here it is next to the published comparable:
Me
200,000 VND
per hour, flat
Same rate for one child or three. Same rate at a resort, a villa, or a homestay.
La Siesta Resort
300k – 450k
per hour (1 child / 2 children)
Published rate, billed to the room, subject to the "if an employee is free" clause above.
The rate doesn't change with the number of kids. Two asleep by 8pm is the same job as one. Full rate sheet, including overnight and travel, is on the pricing page.
Payment is cash at the end of the session. No deposit, no room-charge surprises.
Resorts, villas, and neighbourhoods I cover
I live in Hoi An and travel by motorbike. The areas I work in most:
- An Bang Beach. Villas and beachfront resorts.
- Cua Dai. The resort strip along the river and the beach.
- Cam Thanh & Tan Thanh. The quieter villa pockets between the rice fields.
- Hoi An Old Town. Boutique hotels and homestays inside the walking quarter.
- Da Nang resort strip. Furama, the Hyatt, the Marriott properties along My Khe and Non Nuoc. Travel cost is covered by you.
If you're at a property I haven't named, ask anyway. Most likely I've been there or near it.
Book me before you arrive
The families who get the night they want are the ones who message before they fly. Send me your dates, your villa or resort, and the ages of your kids. I'll confirm or tell you straight away if I'm already booked.
