The overnight booking is the one you have to get right.
I'm Trang, an independent, CPR-certified overnight nanny in Hoi An for foreign families. I cover overnights in An Bang, Cam Thanh, Old Town, and the resorts along the river. One person, the whole night, same face at 7pm and at breakfast.
Why overnight is different from a date night
A three-hour dinner sitter is a low-stakes hire. You're a taxi ride away and the kids are usually asleep before you leave. Overnight is the opposite: you're handing your child to someone for the hours you can't supervise.
That's why I publish my CPR certification, my years of experience (since 2018), and the names of families who'll vouch for me on request. Ask the hard questions before the booking, not at 2am.
What an overnight nanny in Hoi An does, hour by hour
Every family runs bedtime differently, so the first thing I ask for is your routine. A typical evening (some families call this a night nurse in Hoi An) looks like this:
- 7:00pm — Arrival & handover
- I arrive 15 minutes before you leave. You walk me through bedtime, allergies, where the spare nappies are, and how to reach you.
- 7:15–8:30pm — Dinner, bath, story
- I run your bedtime routine the way you run it. Same book, same songs, same nightlight.
- 8:30–10pm — Tidy & settle
- Dishes, laundry, sit nearby in case anyone calls out.
- 10pm onward — Sleep, but light
- I sleep on the couch or in the spare room you point me to, door open. If there's a baby monitor I take it with me.
- 6:30–7:30am — Breakfast & handoff
- Kids up, breakfast on the table, ready for you.

1. Date nights that run past midnight
Anniversary dinner in Da Nang, a wedding at a beach resort, a long late meal in the Old Town. Book me 7pm to 7am and stop watching the clock.
2. Both parents on business trips
"She kept our 8-year-old son overnight at home a few times when we were both on business trips. Trang is reliable, warm, and our son loved her."
Hoi An family · multi-night bookings
This is the booking I do most. Parents fly to Saigon, Bangkok, or Singapore for two or three nights. Kids stay in their own beds, on their school routine, with one consistent adult. No flying grandma in.
3. Anniversary weekends at a resort

Rate, hours, and how to book
Overnight rate
200,000 VND / hour
A standard 7pm–7am overnight is 12 hours — 2.4M VND. No surcharge after midnight. No per-child fee.
